Kansas Direct Feeder Cattle Summary 
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/14/2018
 
Receipts:  2,946        Last Week: 750         Last Year:  4,425

   Compared with last week: Feeder steers and heifers were lightly 
tested last week but sold mostly steady were comparable sales were 
noted.  Demand good.  Plenty of moisture in the trading area.  Corn
farmers are preparing for harvest as well evaluating the condition 
after the big rainfalls. Volume includes 100 percent 600 lbs and 
over. Feeder supply includes 9 percent steers and 91 percent heifers.
Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weighting points with 2-3 
percent shrink or equivalent and a 5-10 cent slide on calves and a 
4-16 cent slide on yearlings from base weights.
